RTI®’s Electric Utility Group has provided engineering and scientific services to the electric power industry for over 30 years. Services to the industry have included: conducting forensic root cause analyses of major power generation and distribution accidents; equipment failures; and performance problems; providing improved equipment reliability recommendations; assessing the condition of aging equipment for repair/replace options; addressing “prudence issues” related to rate base and regulatory hearings; and acting as a spokesperson for the utility in press conferences, city council meetings, and in courts of law.
