The RTI Group have applied advanced investigation techniques to recent rail disasters both in the United States and the United Kingdom. Extensive analysis by RTI rail accident experts and our forensic animation specialists have contributed most effectively to the explanation and understanding of all potential causes and contributing factors. These results are based on the time sequence of events data derived from a variety of sources including locomotive and train driver input recorders.

Major accidents where root causes have been found in both defective rail system infrastructures as well as within human physiological weaknesses have been analysed and reconstructed in intricate detail through the advances in computer analysis techniques.

RTI's Forensic Visuals team can produce accurate rail system performance reconstructions based on train and rail operation digital recorders, and environmental data. These reconstructions are not only very effective aids in claims settlement and litigation resolution, but also serve as an invaluable training tool in a proactive safety management programme thereby assisting greatly in reducing losses and high-cost rail claims.
