Marine Director
The RTI Marine Director will be responsible for the development, marketing and operations of the Marine Casualty Investigation Team and to assist other RTI service areas when and as needed. You will also be jointly responsible for the development of the Marine & Aviation Safety Consultancy. You will be responsible for managing casualty investigations and client liaison as well as being the subject matter expert for all marine topics within the RTI Group. You will also be responsible for the management and recruitment of our contracted marine consultants and will have the responsibility to conduct Marine Seminars and Conferences related to RTI services, for RTI maritime clients and others on an annual basis to demonstrate our various capabilities to create and maintain good client relations. The role has become vacant due to retirement.
Qualification
The ideal candidate will have a Class One Master Mariners or Chief Engineers certificate of competency, or equivalent – preferably with recent seagoing experience. Experience in the investigation of serious marine casualties is also highly desirable. The candidate may already have a small company in marine casualty investigations or expert witness services and would wish to join a larger company. All candidates must have existing EU working entitlement and be prepared to work in London. Salary will be consistent with qualifications and experience.
