
RTI Adds Steve Hull as Safety & Investigations Director
RTI is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Hull as Safety & Investigations Director.
Steve Hull has worked in the aviation industry for over 40 years (38 with British Airways) and is a licensed aircraft engineer and flight engineer with over 8000 hours on the B747 100/200 and Concorde. He has held several management positions within British Airways, including Duty Flight Crew Manager. Transferring to BA Corporate Safety in 1992, he completed his accident investigation and air safety management training at the University of Southern California in 1994. He has investigated over 50 incidents and accidents and was the initial lead investigator on the B777 accident at Heathrow in 2008.
Steve was also the editor of Flywise, the British Airways corporate safety publication, which was considered a benchmark in safety publications. For the past two years, he has been an independent consultant and trainer in safety, human factors, hazard awareness, risk analysis, and accident investigation.
In his current role at RTI as Safety & Investigations Director, he will be responsible for the coordination of aviation accident investigations, provide hands on experience in safety consultancy and training, and assist with the development of business in his areas of expertise. He has also been accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
