RTI has applied advanced investigation techniques to recent rail disasters both in the United States and the United Kingdom.  Our rail accident experts and forensic animation specialists have analyzed and reconstructed in intricate detail, major accidents where root causes have been found in both defective rail system infrastructures, and within human physiological weaknesses.  We are able to analyze and explain potential causes and contributing factors, based on the time sequence of events data derived from a variety of sources, including locomotive and train driver input recorders.

RTI's Visual Aid Consulting team can produce accurate rail system performance reconstructions based on train and rail operation digital recorders, and environmental data.   These reconstructions are not only very effective aids in claims settlement and litigation resolution, but also serve as invaluable training tools in a proactive safety management program, thereby assisting in greatly reducing losses and high-cost rail claims.
